Golden's newest food hall includes six eateries, a bar and an artisan market.

Morris & Mae, a new food hall in Golden located next door to the Connects Workspace coworking area that founders Dan and Jennifer Thoemke launched in 2015, officially opened Friday at 18475 W. Colfax Ave. The space includes six eateries, a bar and an artisan market.

Dining options include The Alpine House, Goldmine Sweets + Espresso, Kiki’s Fresh Bowls, La Rosita, Mac Nation Café and fresh Italian-food purveyor Paisan. The Drinkery features 20 taps, wine, cocktails and mocktails, and the marketplace includes Middlemist florist, as well as products from local companies like Postcard Foods, Pickles & Potions, Il Porcellino and Little Man Ice Cream.

“I love creating spaces that bring people together,” Jennifer Thoemke said, adding that she hopes the new food hall will become a hot spot for brunches, gatherings before concerts at nearby Red Rocks Amphitheatre and late-night get-togethers. “Much like coworking, this creates a space for startups to launch. Most of our concepts are either brand new or testing out the launch to a second location.”
