Full Plate: Golden gets a new food hall

Jen admits her current venture, Morris & Mae, is stretching her. When she talks about this food hall, which will be adjacent to the newest Connects space, she is excited, but nervous. “I’m taking this giant leap!” she says. “And hoping there’s ground where I land!” Morris & Mae is expected to open in November 2022.

Just off the Red Rocks/Morrison exit, where Interstate 70 and Highway 40 meet, sits Gateway Village, a mixed-use development that is home to Avalanche Harley-Davidson, Over Yonder Brewing Company, Origin Hotel Red Rocks and more, including a new co-working space and food hall that's set to open in November.

A new food hall is under development in Golden and will feature several different concepts. The new project dubbed Morris & Mae is owned by Jennifer Thoemke, who is also behind Gold Mine Cupcakes and the shared workspace concept, Connects Workspace.

Morris & Mae already has five food vendors committed to its space, plus one food stall still available.
